ELA / A.T. Kearney Study

„Excellence in Logistics 2008/2009:
Global Supply Chain Management“

Achieving multi-dimensional excellence in global supply chain management will be the differentiating factor. Gaining competitive advantage by fulfilling customers' needs through minimized operating costs, optimized service levels and effective usage of capital employed in the new "global village" will be crucial for all companies dealing with supply chain and logistic issues.

The success factors to achieve excellence in global supply chain management will be evaluated in the context of global mega-trends such as "sustainability" and "globalization".

The study on "Excellence in Logistics 2008/2009: Global Supply Chain Management" will be evaluated in line with the following dimensions:
  • Industries
  • Geographies
  • Size of companies

Alongside these specific evaluation categories, we are also interested in comparing industries, geographies and sizes. What can certain industries learn from others? Where are companies from specific countries/regions in terms of the efficiency of their supply chains as opposed to European competitors? What role does a company's size play in the evaluation of a supply chain?

The study results will enable you to benchmark your company's performance with comparable companies. The consolidated findings will pinpoint gaps between the logistic leaders and the average performers and they will also clearly highlight your company's position. Each participant will receive an individual feedback report with their position relative to their peers.

We would very much appreciate your participation in this European study and are glad to support you with the study results in order to achieve excellence in global supply chain management.
