With this sixth quinquennial release, the European Logistics Study already looks back on a long history. The recent study is not only based on the past five years but includes statistical evidence and comparisons of key logistics parameters and supply chain trends over a time of more than 20 years.

Every time the focus of the study has been augmented by current relevant topics. That way, the scope of the European Logistics Study, that used to be a simple logistics cost benchmarking report in 1982, has been extended. Logistics Productivity, Quality, Dynamics and Differentiation have been topics in the meantime, and today we will present a study encompassing all these aspects in a comprehensive study of supply chain trends and drivers with a focus on global supply chains and IT as the dominating factor to manage the increasing logistics complexity.
